Obituary: GILLIN- George E. Sr., 73, of Heilwood, passed away May 21, 2010 at home. Born May 24, 1936 in Ebensburg, son of the late Lawrence and Olive (Brothers) Gillin. Preceded in death by brother Junior. Survived by wife of 38 years, the former Rhoda L. Williams and children, Allen (Bonnie) Williams; George Jr.,(Savannah) Gillin; and Amanda (Kenneth) Shank. 9 Grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Also survived by sister, Ruby Nihart; brother Jimmy Don; numerous nieces and nephews; and longtime family friend, Barb Horn. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11am Monday, Pastor Geno Bartoletti, officiating. Interment, Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers donations in George’s memory may be made to his family.
