Obituary: BEHORY – Doris R. (Gore) “Dory”, 84, of Nanty Glo, passed away May 29, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center. Born Jan. 30, 1926 in Nanty Glo, daughter of the late Joseph and Mae (Harvey) Gore. Last surviving member of her immediate family. Preceded in death by son, Ronald Behory; sisters Agatha Simmons, Geraldine Phillip, and Beatrice Smith; brothers, Ronald, Daniel and Russell Gore; and nephew, Russell J. Gore, Jr. Survived by husband of 64 years, John S. Behory and children, John and wife Carole; Gary and wife Glenda; and Timothy and wife April; 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Nanty Glo Christian & Missionary Alliance Church with years of faithful family service. Doris enjoyed crocheting and canning; and caring for her family. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo. Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Wednesday at Nanty Glo C. & M.A. Church, the Rev. Mark Lanz and Rev. William Hazlett, officiating. Interment to follow at Pike Brethren Cemetery, Mundys Corner. In lieu of flowers donations in Doris’s memory may be made to her church for Missionary Programs
