Obituary: HORN- Mary Lou (Davis), 58, of Ebensburg, passed away June 10, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center. Born June 30, 1951 in Spangler, daughter of the late Richard Ellsworth and June (Dixon) Davis. Preceded in death by sister Myrtle Davis and ex husband, Richard Eugene Horn. Survived by son, Christopher L. Horn, Omaha, Nebraska; sisters, Alice J. Davis and Jennifer R. Davis; and brother Richard E. Davis III, all at home; Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and special cousins, Alice Foster, Benny Davis and Karen Day; and canine companion “Blue”, as well as numerous other loving pets. Formerly employed by the former Bowers Nursing Home, Ebensburg. Retired from Ebensburg Center. Member 4-H, Ebensburg American Legion and VFW. Mary enjoyed showing numerous dairy cattle and horses at the Cambria County Fair; and loved taking walks; and taking care of her friends at the Ebensburg Center, especially her special friend, Harry. Friends will be received from 6-8 pm Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes., Inc., Ebensburg, where funeral service will be held at 10am on Tuesday, Deacon Thomas Buige, officiating. Interment, Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
