Obituary: MARDIS – Edward Roger, 70, of Nanty Glo, died June 18, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center. Born March 7, 1940, son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Winger) Mardis. Preceded in death by wife, Victoria (Lorenze) Mardis; sister, Gloria; and brothers, Chub, Jack, Jerry, Phillip and Richard. Survived by daughter, Pamela Mardis; granddaughter, Nicolle Bracken; and sister in law, Jerry (nee Doran, widow of Richard); and mother in law, Mary Lorenze. Friends will be received from 9am until time of funeral service at 11am on Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, the Rev.Maurine Waun, officiating. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Nanty Glo. In lieu of flowers donations in Roger’s memory may be made to Dublin Counseling Center, 299 Cramer Creek Ct., Dublin, OH 43017.
