Obituary: MILLER – Susan Lynn (Layman), 64, Ebensburg, died June 20, 2010, at Altoona Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Born Feb. 9, 1946, in Johnstown, daughter of Earl and Margaret Jane (O’Hara) Layman. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by husband, William; these children: Eric, married to the former Lisa Blurton, Hollidaysburg; Curt, Ebensburg; and Chad, Mundys Corner; and six grandchildren, Marcus, USAF; Ashley; WesleyAnn; Derrick; Theron; and Allison Lenz. Sister of Janie, wife of Russell Smith, Pittsburgh; Marlyn, wife of Kenneth Cummins, Ebensburg; Sharon (Edmiston), wife of Dan Roseboro, Lititz; Annie, wife of Dr. Joseph Gattuso, Hollidaysburg; and Earl Jr., married to the former Lynn Kalafut, Hershey. Also survived by mother-in-law, Ethel Miller, and numerous nieces and nephews. Retired from Laurel Crest Manor as a nurse’s aide. Susan loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed going to the beach. She had shared a strong love and believing in her faith in Christ during her three-year battle with cancer. Suzie will be sadly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Matevish & Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held Tuesday. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus. Entombment, Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg.
