Obituary: McMAHON ヨ Michael T., 47, Richmond, Va., formerly of Ebensburg, took a walk into the Kingdom of God July 5, 2010. Born June 25, 1963, in Altoona, the eldest son of the late Dr. David F. McMahon and the late Joan A. Godfrey McMahon, both formerly of Ebensburg. Survived by his partner, Raymond O. Wilson Jr., Richmond, Va.; brother, Paul B. McMahon, Ebensburg; sister, Meghan A. McMahon-Orwig, Lititz Pa; sister, Mary Jo McMahon, Lewistown, Pa.; brother, David G. McMahon, Huntingdon; two nieces; six nephews; one grandniece; and many friends. He was a 1981 graduate of Bishop Carroll High School, Ebensburg, and attended Catholic University, Washington, D.C. He spent his life entertaining people of all ages, both personally and professionally, in the arts and music. He composed many songs; was the stage director of Cresson Lake Playhouse in the early 1980メs, the lead in Josephメs Techinicolored Dream Coat in the mid-1980メs and was the director of music for Open Door Church in Bethesda, Md. While he lived in D.C., he wrote and starred in a two-man show touring Washington, D.C., Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Virginia in 1997. He was handpicked to be the pianist at JFK Jr. graduation party in Washington, D.C. He was owner and operator of Music Patch Kids in Richmond, Va., where he shared his love of music and moment with children. He will be sadly missed by his faithful rescued companion, Sparky. Michael will live on in the memories of all those who knew and loved him. Memorial service will be held at graveside at 1 p.m. Friday, July 16, at Basilica of St. Michael Archangel, Loretto, officiated by Father Gabriel Zeis.
