Obituary: YASKOWITZ – Henry, 90, Revloc, died Sept. 28, 2011, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Dec. 22, 1920, in Robindale, son of Klemens and Sophia (Knapczyk) Yaskowitz. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Sally Mastaler; grandson, Michael Lort; sisters, Gladys DeBalli, Helen Shedlock and Wanda Hubman; and brothers, Edward and Robert. Survived by daughters, Larue Yaskowitz, Randalstown, Md.; Pamela, wife of Terry Lort, Lancaster; and Sally, wife of Robert Shook, Ebensburg; and grandchildren, Nicole Lort; Tanya Whinnie; and Dr. Ryan Shook, and wife, Dr. Brittney Shook. Brother of Mary Jane Caniglia; Esther Dunlap; Delores Knee, and husband, Robert; Donna Grubb; and Clem Yaskowitz, and wife, Mary. Henry helped others, both young and old, and was the greatest joy of his life. He was actively involved with community endeavors and numerous organizations throughout his 80 years in Revloc. He had a passion for sports, where he played Industrial League baseball, was a coach and umpire and especially enjoyed his time with family. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters and grandchildren. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held Sunday evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus. Committal, Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg.
