Obituary: PHILLIPS ﾖ Denise L. (Bopp), 45, of Indiana County, formerly of Ebensburg, passed away peacefully at home, May 9, 2011, after a battle with cancer. Born November 15, 1966 in Johnstown, daughter of Ronald and Jean (Natcher) Bopp. Survived by her parents, of Ebensburg; son Joseph Bonini, of Homer City; brothers: Duane Bopp, New Germany; Doug (Jennifer Hurtack) Bopp, and Daren Bopp, all of Ebensburg; former husband Joe Bonini, Homer City; special step-grandchildren: Jaden, Micah, and Tyler; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A 1984 graduate of Central Cambria High School and 1986 graduate of Cambria Rowe Business College, she had been a bank teller at several banks in Indiana County. An active advocate for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, she was a former chairman of the The ARC in Indiana County. Member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Ebensburg, where a funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus, celebrant. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where a vigil prayer service will be held. Entombment at Holy Name Mausoleum.
