Obituary: HENRY – Frank V., Jr., 93, of Mineral Point, was called home to be with the Lord and the deceased members of his family on Feb. 14, 2017, at Rebekah Manor, Ebensburg. Born Nov. 28, 1923 in Mineral Point, son of the late Frank V. Sr. and Agnes (Schrader) Henry. Preceded in death by wife, Margaret C. Henry; brother, John C. Henry; and sister, Genevieve Marhefka. Survived by son, Francis J. (Darlene J.) Henry; grandsons, Michael F. (Tara) Henry and Justin P. (Molly) Henry; great grandchildren, Keegan Andrew, Kinley Paige and Hope Frances. Also survived by brothers, James A. Henry and Charles W. Henry, Sr.; sister, Audrey J. Wirfel; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Mundys Corner. Retired from US Steel with 40 years of service. US Navy veteran, having served in the Armed Guard for 33 months during WW II, in the American & Pacific Theater. Former member of Nanty Glo VFW and Polish Club. In years of health, Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, canning, and making homemade wine. He especially enjoyed the time with his two grandsons when they were growing up and the visits with his great grandchildren. He shared many of his life stories with family and friends, which we will all remember him by. A private viewing will be held with the family. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John Vianney Church, the Very Rev. Andrew C. Stanko, celebrant. Committal, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Nanty Glo. Military Rite by Nanty Glo, Vintondale and Twin Rocks Area Veterans Ritual Team. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank’s memory may be made to St. John Vianney Church.
