Obituary: WILSON - Charles Curtis, Sr., 79, of Nanty Glo, passed away Dec. 17, 2007 at Memorial Medical Center. Born Jan. 3, 1928 in Johnstown, son of the late Phillip and Eva (Lawrence) Wilson. Survived by wife of 55 years, Dorothy A. (Allison) Wilson; daughter, Debra Wilson; son, Charles C. Wilson Jr. and wife Rebecca (Dietz); granddaughter Cassandra Wilson; and great grandchildren, Alexandra Rohrabaugh, Brittni Waldron and Aidan Altimus. Also survived by sisters, Deanna Mallin and Nancy Dugan; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graduate of Shippensburg University. Charles was a retired school teacher, guidance counselor, former head basketball coach and assistant football coach for Blacklick Valley High School. Director of Admissions at Admiral Peary Vo-Tech, and recruiter/counselor at Conemaugh Valley School of Nursing. Member L.O.O.M., Lodge 207 and American Legion Post 0619, Nanty Glo. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Wednesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, Pastor Lynn M. Miller officiating. Interment, Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg. Military Rites by local veterans organization.
