LAZOR – Robert J., 88, of Ebensburg, passed away peacefully December 20, 2022 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born November 21, 1934 in Johnstown, son of the late John and Ann (Spinner) Lazor. Survived by his wife, Margaret (Portash) Lazor; daughters Christine and Susan (Curtis); grandchildren: Dominique and Anaïs Perrine, and Ethan Means. Brother of James (Louise) Lazor, and nieces and nephews: Randolph and James Stager, Kathy Stanek (Karl) Jack O’Donnell, Duff (Carol) O’Donnell, Robin (Rick) Taylor, Timothy (Robin) Lazor, and Kevin (Lisa) Lazor. Preceded in death by sisters: Marjorie Stager and Lois O’Donnell, nieces: Mary Beth Stager, Anne Stager Forberg, and Nancy McGregor.
Bob grew up in Portage, as a young boy, along side his father, working in the family greenhouses. After serving in the US Army, he operated a small wholesale business for over 40 years, distributing imported flowers, forest greens and supplies to the floral trades. Later in life, he was in hard scraping working with bricks and paving stones. He had been a ski instructor at Blue Knob Ski area for many years. A member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Ebensburg. Donations in Bob’s memory can be made to the Ebensburg Ambulance Association.
