HOFFER - Violet J. (Houska), 78, Born Jan. 18, 1930, went to be with the Lord, Aug. 18, 2008. Preceded in death by son, Thomas Allan Houska and husband, the Rev. Robert F. Houska. Survived by second husband, William Hoffer and children, Judith Rummell; Phyllis Seager; Sandra; Rev. Stephen; Rev. Timothy; Sharon; Evonne; Tesa; and Mark Houska; Rhonda Johnson; and April Goshey. Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and brothers, Thomas; and Jack Whaley; and sisters, Patricia Potts; and Sharon Whaley. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing, and a private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Donations in Violet's memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo.
