Obituary of Beverly Marie Novitski

NOVITSKI - Beverly Marie, 73, Mundys Corner, died June 7, 2008, at Windber Hospice. Born Feb. 13, 1935, in Altoona, daughter of Charles and Jean M. (Corbin) Gottshall. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Richard Gottshall. Survived by husband of 47 years, Eugene F. Novitski, whom she married July 2, 1960; children, Michael and Cindy (Poeta), Elayne and Lynn Ertter, Lisa and Leroy Stump, and James and Pamela (Mosley); grandchildren, Michael, Angelo and Larry Novitski; Kayce and Carson Ertter; Alysse, Ashley and Brandon Stump; and Katlyn, Chelsea and Cody Novitski; also twin brother, Ronald (Jane) Gottshall, Duncansville; and sisters-in-law, Nancy Gottshall and Marian Cynar, whom she considered her sister. Beverly was a loving wife and mother, who will be sadly missed by her family and grandchildren. Formerly employed at Mercy Hospital in Altoona and Mercy Hospital in Johnstown, as a registered nurse. Beverly was a co-owner in the family business with her husband, Gene. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be said at 8 p.m. Monday. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Mundys Corner, the Rev. Paul Robine. Entombment, Richland Cemetery, Johnstown.
