GALLIGAN - Edward A., 86, Revloc, died June 11, 2008, at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 19, 1922, in Lilly, son of Francis and Mary Anna (Gelbe) Galligan. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Leo, Francis and Bernard; and sisters, Olean Lackey and Helen Glenn. Survived by wife, the former Emma E. Gailey; these daughters, Patricia, wife of Robert Mulvehill, Ebensburg, and Christina Ferchalk, Revloc; grandchildren: Thomas Ferchalk Jr., Mary Woodling, Tara Ferchalk, Daniel Ferchalk, Tristi Ferchalk, Tina Wilson, Tracey Mulvehill and Tabitha Mulvehill; and great-grandchildren, Avery Ferchalk, Sage Ferchalk, Makenzie McCullough, Lilian Woodling, Justin Mackoff and Cydney Wilson. Brother of Jean Miller, Revloc; Lavern Kociola, Ebensburg; and Dorothy Justi, Pittsburgh. Army veteran of World War II. Member of UMWA Local 850, Revloc, having served as an officer; founding and life member of the Revloc Volunteer Fire Company and former member of Most Holy Redeemer Church, Revloc. Ed served as a Boy Scout leader and Little League coach. Friends received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held on Friday evening. Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus. Entombment, Holy Name Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Revloc Fire Company or Ebensburg Ambulance in Ed's memory.
