SABO - Vivian M. (Snedden), 82, Patton, formerly of Nanty Glo, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on July 14, 2008. Born Feb. 4, 1926, in Johnstown, daughter of the late William and Bertha (Lambing) Snedden. Preceded in death by husband, Thomas E., and brothers, Richard and Robert. Survived by children, JoAnn Schnurr (C.J.), Patton, and Thomas R., Twin Rocks. Very special niece who was like a daughter, Diane Carmel, Patton, and great-niece, Carey Stiffler (Doug), and their children, Makenzie, Joshua, Julia and Nathan, who brought such joy to Vivian's life, and many other loving nieces and nephews. Also survived by a sister, Corrine Howard, Ebensburg. Member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, St. Augustine Road, Dysart; Patton Legion Ladies Auxiliary; and Patton Sportsmen Association. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, and from 10 a.m. until time of funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Dysart, with the Rev. Joseph Fleming, the celebrant. Internment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Nanty Glo. Memorial contributions may be made to breast cancer research or Horizon Hospice.
