POMPUTIUS - Peter P., 101, Northern Cambria, formerly of Nanty Glo, died Aug. 20, 2008, at Rebekah Manor, Northern Cambria. Born June 13, 1907, son of the late Joseph and Catherine Pomputius. Preceded in death by wife, Anna, and brothers and sisters. Survived by children, Peter, Reading; Frank, Johnstown; Joan Charles (Edward), Altoona; and John (Cindy), Indiana; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Member of St. Mary's Church, Nanty Glo. Army veteran of World War II. Member of American Legion Post 619, Nanty Glo. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where Liturgical Wake will be held Thursday. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Church, the Rev. Father David Peles, celebrant. Committal, Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg. Veterans service will be conducted by local veterans organizations.
