BLICKENDERFER - Elizabeth (McClain), 79, Belsano, daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth (Shierk). Preceded in death by husband, Joseph, whom she married Aug. 19, 1950; and brother, John "Jack" McClain. Survived by these children, Joseph and Diane (Keilman) Blickenderfer, Belsano; John and Mary Kay (McHugh), Belsano; Elizabeth Laskowski, Vinco; Patricia and Daniel Dulashaw, Mundys Corner; Judith and Timothy Younger, Nicktown; and Robert Blickenderfer, at home. Also survived by these grandchildren, Joseph and Tonya (Newcomer) Blickenderfer, McDonald; Daniel and Pam (Laughard) Dulashaw, Nanty Glo; Brad and Denise (Zanin) Blickenderfer, Nicktown; Marlena and Brad Daughenbaugh, Twin Rocks; Heather and Zack Jones, Ebensburg; Michelle Dulashaw, Pittsburgh; Mark Blickenderfer, Belsano; Robby Laskowski, Vinco; Kenny Younger, Nicktown; John Blickenderfer, Belsano; Michael Laskowski, Vinco; and Paige Younger, Nicktown; Bubba s 11 great-grandchildren: Conner Dulashaw, Alyssia Jones, Alexia Daughenbaugh, Holly Dulashaw, Steven Blickenderfer, Austin Dulashaw, Emma Blickenderfer, Ashton Daughenbaugh, Ethan Blickenderfer, Kathryn Blickenderfer and Jayden Laskowski, whom she enjoyed immensely. She is survived by these siblings: Alice "Sally" Keilman, Michigan; Francis McClain, Portage; Dorothy and Lex Hampton, Texas; and Patricia Pliesnicker, Ohio; and sister-in-law, Alice McClain, Portage. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Betty enjoyed participating in and attending craft shows, she made many potpourri pies. She decorated cakes in the 1970s through the 1990s, taught cake decorating at Admiral Peary Vo-Tech, and was affectionately known as the "Cake Lady". She taught Catechism at St. Charles and Immaculate Conception churches in the 1960s through the 1970s. She was also active in the church in other ways. She helped with events for the Vinco Center and Special Olympics. In later years, she enjoyed her "trips" with her special cousins, Mary Galla, Frank and Darlene Babish. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her, for her generosity and kindness were only exceeded by the love for her family. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at SS. Timothy and Mark Church, Twin Rocks, Father James H. Conrad, STL, as celebrant. Entombment, Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg. Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Skills Adult Day Care, Cresson.
