VIVIAN - Paul J., 86, Breck Lane, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord June 10, 2007, at Windber Hospice. Born March 21, 1921, son of William T. and Martha (Blankenbicker) Vivian. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Wilbur Dean, and wife, Mary Alice (Ratchford), and William, and wife, Shirley (McClelland); and sisters, Mariam Burkardt and Margaret Lee. Survived by his wife of 65 years, the former Lorraine Crowell, and these children: Betty Jean, wife of Thomas Wissinger, Medford, N.J., and William, married to the former Kathleen Walls, South Fork; grandchildren, Jennifer Goodson, Julie Robison, and Dane and Daniel Vivian; and five great-grandchildren. Brother-in-law of William Lee, Francis Burkardt and Mary Jane Madden. A veteran of World War II, who participated in the D-Day operation as a member of the 2nd Armored Division and received a Purple Heart. A life member of the Disabled American Veterans, Johnstown; and a member of Ebensburg Lodge 312, F&AM Wesley United Methodist Church, South Fork; and Teamster's Union Local 110. Retired after 28 years with the Harris-Boyer Bakery. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Homer J. George Funeral Home, Salix, and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Wesley United Methodist Church, South Fork, the Rev. Arlene Bobrowicz officiating. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
