Obituary of Patricia "Patti" Grata

GRATA – Patricia May “Patti”, 68, of Dunlo, formerly of Nanty Glo, went to be with the Lord Nov. 4, 2019. Born Feb. 6, 1951 in Nanty Glo, daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Lego) Huska. Preceded in death by siblings, Robert Huska, Harvey Cameron and Margaret “Peggy” Cameron. Survived by fiancé, Patrick J. Dougherty, of 20 wonderful years together; sons, Jeremy (Pamela) Grata; Joshua (Heather) Grata; and Jesse (Jamie) Grata. 8 Grandchildren. Patti was very excited about her great grandson who is on the way! Also survived by brother, George (Margaret) Cameron; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Michael. Former member of Blacklick Valley PTA. Patti volunteered at the Nanty Glo Library and served on the Cardiff Sewage Authority. She was also actively involved with connecting lost loved ones. Patti will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at St. Michael Church, the Rev. Msgr. David Lockard, celebrant. Committal, St. Michael Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Patti’s memory may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church.
