JOHNS  - Lois L. (Harrison), 83, of Ebensburg, formerly of Benshoff Hill, passed away on Saturday November 9th, 2019 at Cambria Care Center.  Born on March 1, 1936 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Russell and Ruth (Bassett) Harrison.  Preceded in death by husband T. Ernest Johns, Jr., who passed in 2013;   brothers: Oden, Jim and Arthur Harrison; and sisters:  Phyllis Hunt, Neva Owens, Rhoda Bouch and Verda Terndrup.  Survived by daughters: Nannette (Jerry) Zapola, Williamsport;  Janice (Jim) Demchak, Johnstown;  Sandy (Joe) Hurtack, East Berlin, Pa.;  Suzie (Greg) Shaffer, Revloc; and  Jill (Ed) Robbins, Williamsport.  Also 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren,  Also survived by brothers:  Jack, Allan, and Lynn  Harrison, all of Johnstown.  Lois was a longtime member of the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, where she served as a deacon, sang in the church choir, taught Sunday School, was a member of the Woman's Fellowship Group, the church's quilt guild and prayer group.  Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m., Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.  A Funeral Service will be held at the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren at 11:00 a.m., Saturday,  Rev. Pastor Robert Wolf, officiating.  Interment at Benshoff Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Lois’ memory may be made to the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren Memorial Fund or the Jackson Twp. Volunteer Fire Company and Ambulance Association.
