RAGLEY – John Joseph, 88, of Nanty Glo, passed away March 1, 2020 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born Oct. 9, 1931 in Johnstown, son of the late Martin G. and Mary Grace (Smith) Ragley. Survived by children, Monica Dumm, Michelle (Jack) Cessna, Maria (Tim) Byich and Martin J. (Tina) Ragley. Grandchildren, Aaron, Deanna, Bradd, Carrie, Jeremy, Samantha and Eric. Great Grandchildren, Evan, Bryce, Brayden, Cadence, Madalyn, Britni, Eean, Corbin and Aiden. Also survived by sister, Margaret Elliott and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nanty Glo. Member of Antique Car Club, Twin Rocks, Self employed carpenter of the former M.G. Ragley Lumber Company, Nanty Glo. John enjoyed Legion pool and bowling. Friends will be received from 4 -8 p.m. on Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Mary’s Church, the Rev. Leonard Voytek, celebrant. Committal, Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers donations in John’s memory may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
