KRENS – Donald J., Sr., 58, of Jackson Twp., passed away March 5, 2020. Born April 29, 1961 in Johnstown, son of the late Robert Sr. and Lorraine (Gettings) Krens. Preceded in death by brother, Thomas; and nephew, Nick Krens. Survived by son, Donald “DJ” Krens, Jr.; daughter, Katelyn (Tim) Lamer; Grandchildren, Taylor, Gideon, Wyatt, Arabella and one on the way. Brother of Robert (Angie) Krens, Jr. Also survived by sister in law, Diane Krens; niece, Trisha (Bob) Graves; great nephew, Gavin; and his fiancé, Holly Sever. Don was owner and operator of the former DVO, Nanty Glo. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, collecting coins, traveling, tinkering, finding good deals and playing with his grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Bill Warrick, officiating. Interment, Pringle Hill Cemetery, Summerhill.
