Obituary of Lois Jane Kowalski

KOWALSKI - Lois Jane (Gillin), 88, formerly of Ebensburg, Cresson, and Nanty Glo passed away April 29, 2020 at Epworth Manor, Tyrone, Pa.   Born September 1, 1931 in Ebensburg, daughter of the late Lawrence "Pap" and Olive (Brothers) Gillin.   Preceded in death by husband John Kowalski, brothers Lawrence Jr. "Junior" and George E. Gillin, and sister Violet Florence Watson.  Survived by sister Ruby June Nyhart, Ebensburg;  brother James Donald Gillin, Northern Cambria and numerous nieces and nephews.    Lois had been employed over the years as a cook and dish washer at the former Valley Dairy, Ebensburg.    Due to present health restrictions, private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Interment at Union Cemetery, Gallitzin.  Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.
