PRICE – Lorraine E., 99, of Arbutus Park Manor, formerly of Ebensburg and Portage, passed away May 20, 2020 at Arbutus Park. Born February 7, 1921 in South Fork, daughter of the late Ernest and Rachel (Mapstone) Truscott. Last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by husband John Pershing Price, Sr., who passed in 1970; brothers Emmett (Violet) Sullivan and Cloyd (Lucy) Truscott, and sister Bertha (Andy) Urda. Survived by daughter Darlene, (Galen) Seese, Ebensburg; son, John P. (Elaine) Price, Jr., of Windber; grandchildren: Daniel (Mary) Seese, Jeffrey (Danielle) Seese, Michael (Beth) Seese, Tammy (Bob) Knieriem, John P Price III (friend Shannon); and great-grandchildren: Jason (friend Michaela) Seese, Teleshia (Ben) Bualot, Andrew Seese, and Philip (Nicole) Seese, Kaylee & Rachel Davis, Lindsay Knieriem, and great-great grandchildren: Addison Seese, Emily Wilson, Dallas, Mia, Kaden and Cooper Seese; as well as nephew Robert Truscott, and niece Judy Seese, both of Ohio. Lorraine raised her family in Portage, and was a former member of the Bethany United Methodist Church and active in the Methodist Woman’s Group at the church. She was a retired cafeteria worker for the Portage Schools, serving the lunch needs of kids in the elementary, middle school and high school. In Ebensburg, she enjoyed living at Turner Apartments and attended the Ebensburg United Church of Christ (Congregational) Church with her daughter. Due to present health restrictions, a private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family, Pastor Ryan Lucas, officiating. interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg. The family would like to thank the staff at Arbutus Park Manor for their care and support.
