Obituary of Dennis N. Livingston, Jr.

LIVINGSTON – Dennis N., Jr. “Denny”, 68, of Vinco, entered into his heavenly home on June 9, 2020. Born Jan. 26, 1952 in Johnstown. Preceded in death by father, Dennis, Sr.; step father, Paul Gitto; and sister, Catherine “Cathie” Frampton. Survived by mother, Patsy Gitto; his wife of 23 years, the former Shelby Reffner; and children, Eric (Heidi) Livingston; David Livingston; Pamela (Kevin) Kabo; and James (Michelle) Kmett. Grandchildren, Isaac, Samuel, Jacob and Molly Livingston; Ashley (Frank) and Hannah Navarro. Precious great grandson, Logan. Also survived by sister, Jami Zipf; and brother, Patric (Geralyn) Livingston and their daughter, Sophia. Special nieces, Elizabeth and Alexis Zipf; and also his beloved kitty, Misty. Through Denny’s professional career, he received many awards such as Top Salesman of the Year at Nestles Corp. and many other awards at Sarah Lee and Schwans. Denny was a devoted husband and a proud, loving grandfather. He loved fishing, hunting, golfing, singing, painting and hosting gatherings for family friends. If you met Denny, you loved him. He was everyone’s friend. His church was very important to him. He served in many capacities, including council president, worship assistant and also sung in the choir as well as many other things. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo. Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mundys Corner, Pastor Kevin McNamara, officiating. Interment, Headricks Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Denny’s memory may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
