Chuck was a wonderful friend and always pleasant.
Even our youngest loved him. When he installed our smoke alarm, Tammy was 3 and she would point to it and say “Sponsky do it”.

Mrs Sponsky, Craig & family, I was so saddened to read of the passing of Coach. He was such a huge influence on my life. As a poor farm kid who was fortunate to have him as my teacher and football coach, he affected me in the most positive way. He was a health/ PhysEd major and played football at Lock Haven State College, (I was a health/Phy Ed major and played football at Lock Haven State college). He coached high school football for 50+ years. (I am currently in my 46th year coaching high school football). He was very active at both the local and state coaches associations, and the Ken Lantzy All- Star Game; as I have been throughout my career. I am and always will be grateful to him for the influence and guidance he bestowed upon me throughout my life. Thank you so very much Coach Sponsky for allowing me to follow in your footsteps. God Bless and Rest In Peace.
JD Jones (Forest Hills Class of ‘71 & Lock Haven State College Class of ‘75)

Dear Carole, Craig and family,
Bob and I send our love and deepest sympathy to you all. Many memories remain with us. Chuck and the family were long time friends with whom we spent many hours together. Chucks passion for football was his best years. A devoted son, husband, and grandfather rounded out his life. May God bless you all and know we care and share your loss. Rest in Peace Chuck.

My face is warm with tears, everyday. Uncle Buddy symbolizes warm family gatherings, loving teases, a fridge in the garage packed with pop and beer, stories about a beloved coach and the fabulous times my parents spent in Florida with him and Aunt Carole and the hero he was for my mom. What I will miss the most is his laugh. It began as a chuckle, a light razzing, transformed into contagious laughter...it lit up the room, the entire universe. Simply put...he loved life. He put everyone at ease. I felt loved and special in his presence.
