Obituary of Christopher J. Columbus

COLUMBUS – Christopher J., 60, of Vintondale, passed away Sept. 9, 2020 at home. Born July 19, 1960 in Johnstown, son of the late Thomas, Sr. and Ann (Dancha) Columbus. Survived by daughter, Chelsea Columbus; granddaughter, Madyson; brothers, Thomas M., Jr. (Dee); and Anthony (Kathy). Also survived by nephew and nieces, Thomas III, Allison (Neil); and Renee. Great nephew and great nieces, Emmett, Rory and Ava. Chris was a cross country truck driver for several years. Member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Mundys Corner. Social member of Vintondale VFW and Vintondale Firemans Club. Chris enjoyed hanging out at the Big Stone Inn with his friends. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, the outdoors; and always loved spending time with his daughter Chelsea and grand daughter Madyson. Chris will be sadly missed by his family and friends, and best friend/brother Tony and sister-in-law Kathy.  Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo. Private service at the convenience of the family.
