Obituary of Linda J. Karlinsey

KARLINSEY – Linda J., of Strongstown, entered into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on Jan. 19, 2021. She was 64 years old. Born May 11, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late Rev. K.V. and Doris Lindsey. She married her husband, Jay “Dan” Karlinsey on June 24, 1978, shared 42 years together and raised four wonderful children, Lora (Brad) Batchelor; Lisa (Ryan) Smith; John (Dani) Karlinsey; and Joe (Sharee) Karlinsey. Grandchildren, McKinley Batchelor, Lindsey Batchelor, Tyler Karlinsey and Emma Karlinsey. Also survived by sister, Deloris (Dale) Poser and brother, Larry (Helen) Lindsey. Linda loved Jesus, being a wife and mother and spending time with her grandkids. She was also a caregiver to many outside her family and always tried to bring some joy into their lives. Linda attended the C & MA Church, several of which her father pastored. She enjoyed the outdoors, hunting season and the farm. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, the Rev. Howard Lindsey, officiating. Due to COVID-19 regulations, masks are required at the funeral home.
