Obituary of Bev Rozsi

ROZSI – Beverly Lee “Bev”, 66, of Nanty Glo, passed away March 18, 2021 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born May 7, 1954 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Raymond and Ohla Rodkey. Preceded in death by sister, Barbara Butler; grandson, Ethan Snyder; and father and mother in law, Ernest and Emma McGowan. Survived by husband, Ron, Sr. of 45 years; children, Ronald, Jr. (Missi); Phillip (EmmyLee); and Patrick (Courtney); as well as her loyal companion, Macho. Grandchildren, Nathan, Kaitlyn and Braxton; 6 step grandchildren and 8 step great grandchildren. Sister of Joyce (Jim) Gongloff; Raymond (Mary); Roland; Robert; and Richard; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Member of First Baptist Church of Nanty Glo. Active member of the former Blacklick Valley Community Center. Co-owner of the former Mundys Corner Restaurant. Bev enjoyed playing cards, bingo, baking cakes, catering and camping. A special thank you to 6 Rose ICU at Conemaugh Hospital and also the staff at Senior Life, especially Corey, for his compassionate care. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Pastor Geno Bartoletti, officiating.
