GARMAN – Karen L., 73, of Colver, passed away unexpectedly May 12, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center ER. Born July 17, 1947 in Johnstown, daughter of Ralph Bruce and Frances (Weaver) Garman. Preceded in death by her parents and sister, Pamela (Edward) Buterbaugh. Survived by her children Sean (Roxanne) McKotch, Northern Cambria and Courtney (Justin) Latuch, Rockwood, Pa. and her cherished grandchildren: Austin and Hunter McKotch; Tony, Adam & Steven Latuch and Victoria Latuch. Also survived by uncle Warren E. Weaver, Richland Twp. Karen was a graduate of Mount Aloysius College and had started her working career as a clerk for the F.B.I. She also retired as a sales clerk for the Ebensburg Sheetz with 26 years of service. Karen was a great cook and baker, she enjoyed gardening and was an accomplished artist, with specialization in watercolor media. She will be long remembered for her quick wit and her welcoming smile. Friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc. Ebensburg. Interment at Richland Cemetery, Richland Twp. In lieu of flowers, donations in Karen’s memory may be made to the Cambria County Humane Society.
