With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Laura Mae Treese of Maryville Tennessee, formerly of Blacklick Twp. Laura went to be with the Lord at age 69 on February 26, 2025. Born May 17, 1955 to the late Edwin and Katherine (Greenlees) Leis. Preceded in death by husband, Larry Treese; father and mother-in-law, Allen and Helen Treese; and great nephew, Ayden Leis. 

She is survived by brothers, Leonard (Karen) Jury, Charles (Nancy) Leis, Maurey Leis and Robert (Pam) Leis; sister, Margaret (Carl) Pierce; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; step daughter, Lisa Mock; 6 grandchildren, their partners; and 15 great grandchildren; special friend, Stephen Whitcomb; and beloved pug, Coolio. Laura was a former member of the Belsano Civic Group, long term nurses aide at Laurel Crest Manor, and a United States Army veteran. Laura loved the Lord and her family. She prided herself on her service to others. A private ceremony will be held in care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, remembering Laura in the presence of her close family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Laura’s memory. Condolences may be left for the family at www.askew-houser.com
