GEORGE – Barbara L. (Graham) “Barb”, 72 of Colver, passed away April 18, 2025 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  Born July 10, 1952 in Colver, daughter of William Samuel and Gertrude (Hagens) Graham.  Preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Howard and Augusta George, and sister-in-law Carol Rouser.  Survived by husband Daivd H. George, to whom she was married 52 years and children:  Melissa (Donald) Singer, Cresson; Michael (Nicole) George, Ebensburg; and Matthew George, of Colver.  Also six grandchildren:  Kristen (Justin) Perino, Altoona;  Melanie (Becca) Glavach, Cresson;  Isaac (Ashley) Glavach, Cresson; Abigail George; Evan George and Catherine George, all of Ebensburg.  Barb is also survived by brothers and sister:  William S. (Rose) Graham;  David (Kim) Graham; Douglas (Mary Ellen) Graham; Denise Wilson; sister-in-law Barb (Steve) Verbosky, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

Barb was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nanty Glo, where she volunteered in the Children’s Ministry Program.  She had a beautiful voice which she generously shared with her church and friends.  Barb was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and baker; she will be long remembered for her cakes, cookies and cupcakes.  She was retired from Crews Control as a scheduler.  At her request there will be no viewing. 

A Gathering of Friends will be held at the Nanty Glo First Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 26th until the time of her Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday,  Rev. Geno Bartoletti, officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Barb’s memory may be made to her church.  Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.  Condolences to the family may be left at www.askew-houser.com
