SHERWOOD – Margaret B., 88, of Blacklick Twp., passed away April 19, 2025. Born Nov. 13, 1936 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Batala) Marcus. Preceded in death by husband, Joseph Sherwood, Jr.; infant son, Donald; daughter, Judy Dumm; and sister, Elaine Hagens. Survived by daughters, Merrie Sherry; Nancy (John Wolfe) Sherwood; Beverly (Chris Burns) Sherwood Burns; and Erin Sherwood. Grandchildren, Joshua, Lane, Alexis, Dane and Ava. Great Grandchildren, Parker, David and Joey. Also survived by son in law, Wayne Dumm; and special longtime friend, Fr. Joseph Raptosh. Margaret enjoyed traveling abroad, pierogi making and tending to her flowers. She loved her family and her faith. Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Fr. Matthew Conjelko. Interment, SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Cemetery, Vintondale. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church or to Blacklick Twp. Playball Initiative in Margaret’s memory.
