GABANY- Frances L., “Fay”, 94, of Ebensburg went to be with the Lord suddenly on May 6th, 2025. Born April 3, 1931, in Altoona, daughter of the late Ronald and Margaret (Sheehan) Wyland of Loretto. Preceded in death by husband of 38 years John Gabany, infant brother David, sister Rosie Bodenschatz, and brother Gerald Wyland. Survived by her children Bonita (William) Moore of Harrisburg, David (Dottie Haid) Gabany of Cherry Tree, Gloria Dziabo of Cresson,  Douglas (Annette) Gabany of Ebensburg, Mary (Gary Rose) Gabany of Ebensburg, and Anita (Charles) Malloy of Mundy’s Corner; brothers and sisters, Lois Forsberg, Mechanicsburg; Jean Beyer, New Germany; Paul Wyland, Ebensburg; Ruth, wife of James Link, New Germany; Edward, married to Marion Gibson, Altoona; sister-in-law Kathy Wyland, Loretto; 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Accomplished businesswoman, formerly owning the Lakeview Motel & Lounge in Ebensburg and Hoffman Hotel in Cresson with her husband, a realtor for REMAX, and owned a group home in her later years taking care of adults with disabilities needing a loving home. She was a member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church and followed Jesus always. She is known for how loving she was and knew how to get and keep people together.

Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m., Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc, Ebensburg, followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m., at Holy Name Church, Rev. Fr. Brian Warchola, celebrant.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.askew-houser.com
