Obituary of James F. McIntosh, Sr.

McINTOSH -   James F., Sr., 75, of Vintondale, passed away June 9, 2025. Born May 27, 1950 in Hollidaysburg, son of the late Charles and Cleo Arlene (Teeter) McIntosh. Preceded in death by sons, Jamie and Kenny; and siblings, Patrick, Peg, Charles, Allen, Francis, Betty and Steve. Survived by his wife, Sylvia, to whom he was married for 53 years; daughter, Jolene (Jason, who was more like a son to Jim) Myers; grandchildren, Patrick (Eden); Nevin (Connor); Ireland Rose; Senekah (Jake); Lilah; and great granddaughter, Maeve. Also survived by siblings, Clarence (Theresa); Mary; and Jerry (Irene); and special sister in law, Rosemary Visosky, who always was there to help him.  Jim was an Army veteran having served two tours in Vietnam. Member of Vintondale VFW Post 5211. Former owner/operator over the road car carrier for many years. Jim loved muscle cars and even owned a few. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great granddaughter. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family and are in care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo.
