ALLISON - Robert Joseph, 85, of Ebensburg, passed away on February 5, 2025 in Cheyenne, WY.   Robert was born in Ebensburg to Robert and Catherine Allison on May 25, 1939. He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta (Martin) Allison.   He graduated from Ebensburg High School in 1957.  Bob joined the Navy and served on the USS Leyte and USS Independence CVA 62. He was a Plank Owner. He served as a radio man and was responsible for operating and maintaining communications.  After the Navy he attended Penn State and earned a BS in Business in 1964. He worked as an insurance underwriter for Royal Globe.

Bob had a few hobbies including fishing in Cambria County, and anywhere he could find a fishing pole. He also enjoyed his short-wave radio and collecting QSL cards. Later, he also loved to play Bridge and was very good at it.

Bob is survived by his children:  Dawn, Robert, Kristin, Jennifer, John, Mark, and Jeff; long-time companion, Luisa Cauliflower; brother: Tom, of Lebanon; and sister:  Geraldine (John) Blososky, of Altoona.

Committal Service will be held at Holy Name Cemetery in Ebensburg on Thursday, June 19 at 9:30 a.m., the Rev. Brian Warchola, officiating. Arrangements are in care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg. Condolences may be left for the family at www.askew-houser.com
