Obituary of Jean C. Hrapchak

HRAPCHAK – Jean C., 87, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 22, 2025 at home.  Born March 23, 1938, the daughter of the late John and Pauline (Smetana) Krawcion, the youngest of 10 children and last surviving member of her immediate family.  Survived by her loving husband who adored and took great care of her, Steve Hrapchak, children; Deb (Justin) Roberts, Carol Hrapchak Myers, Don (Stacey) Hrapchak, Steve (Beth) Hrapchak, Tammy (Chris) Esh.  As well as her grandchildren; Justine (Adam Bucynski) Roberts, Scott (Julie) Myers, Cory Myers, Luke, Nick and Mitchell (Maddy) Hrapchak, and great grandchildren Marlo, Miles, Kinslee, Kolson, Carson, and Maddox. Jean was a past regent of the Catholic Daughters; she was an avid bowler and golfer.

Friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo.  A funeral mass will be held Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, with gathering in the church narthex an hour prior to mass, the Rev. Fr. Brian Warchola celebrant. Entombment at Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg. Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo.
