GERYCZ - Michael John "Mad Dog", 74, of Colver, passed away on Tuesday July 15, 2025.  He is survived by his wife, Josephine (Compardo) Gerycz; his children:  Michele (Adrian) Janosik; Amy Edmiston; and Adam (Theresa) Gerycz; and his grandchildren, Brayden and Adam Gerycz.  He is preceded in death by his son Michael; his parents Joseph and Mary Gerycz; brothers and sister: Joe Gerycz, Paul Gerycz, and Nancy (Gerycz) Thomas; and son-in-law David Edmiston, Jr.  Mike was a fan of sports.  He loved gardening and especially cooking, at which he excelled.  A man of tradition, he made pysanky (decorative Ukrainian Easter eggs), kept the traditions of Holy Supper and Easter Breakfast and made traditional Ukrainian foods - hands down, the best halupki and pierogies around.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.  A gathering of friends will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday (July 22nd) at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday (July 23rd) at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Colver, the Rev.
