MURRAY - Charmaine, 73, of Altoona, formerly of Nanty Glo, passed away September 7, 2025 at home. Born February 19, 1952 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (White) Vermillion. Preceded in death by son, Christopher; sisters, Debra Vermillion and Linda Ardini; and nephew, William “Billie” Ardini, Jr. Survived by husband, Wes Murray; children,  Samuel Jr. (Ruthie) Skomra; Jennifer (Martin) Scherer; and Charles (Veronica) Skomra. 10 Grandchildren. 6 Great Grandchildren. Also survived by sisters, Sherry (Junior) Mason; Janet (John) Dobbs; and Michele (Mark) Brenneman; and several nieces and nephews. A graduate of St. Francis University, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business. She enjoyed gardening, going to the casinos; and her annual vacations with her sisters in Florida. She also loved spending time with all of her grandchildren.   A gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of a Celebration of the Life of Charmaine Murray at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 26th  at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, Pastor David Poole, officiating.  Donations in Charmaine’s memory may be made to Schriners Hospital for Children (www.schrinerschildrens.org).
