BROWN - Martha Jane (Folckemer), 95, of Ebensburg R.D., passed away peacefully February 2, 2026 at home, surrounded by her loving family.  Born May 8, 1930 in Belsano, daughter of the late Merritt and Bertha (Miller) Folckemer.  Last surviving member of her immediate family, she is preceded in death by her husband Dell R. "Dick" Brown, who passed away November 17th, 1987; her grandson Charles Michael Brown, daughter-in-law Mary Ann Brown; brothers Carl, Norman, Charles, Frank and Junior Folckemer; and sister Frances Marsh.  Survived by children:  Sam Brown, Westover;  Martin Brown(Linda Lozier), Ebensburg RD; Ben (Sandra) Brown, Colver;  Tim (Sandra) Brown, Ebensburg RD; Judy (Mike) Hassen, Northern Cambria; and Jean (Giles) Dumm, of Nicktown.  Also 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren with one more due in the Fall and 6 great-great grandchildren.  Martha was a lifelong member of the Ream Miller VFW Auxiliary, St. Benedict.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and sitting on her porch in the summer.  She was known to the neighborhood children as "Grandma Brown".  She spent many hours researching and sharing the family genealogy.  She also was a proud member of the "Brown Bunch Team" for the walks to end Alzheimer's for many years.  Friends will be received from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc. Ebensburg, where a Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Rev. Bob Westrick, officiating.  Interment at United Brethren Cemetery, Belsano.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Martha's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.  Condolences to the family may be left at www.askew-houser.com
