LITZINGER - Charles Leo, Jr., 65, of Nanty Glo, went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2026, following a fearless and relentless battle against malignant melanoma, that spanned nearly 30 years. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Michele (Yanosky); children, Wilbert (Miyako) Litzinger; Karen (Emanuel) Rose; Brooke (Richard) Williams, Amber Litzinger; and Charles (Madison) Litzinger III. Grandchildren, Airyonna, Mia, Ashton, Jaxon, Siena, Xander, Presley, Valentina, JJ, Emanuel and Baby Boy Williams. Also survived by sister, Ruth Strayer; brother-in-law, Scott Strayer; sisters, Jane (James) Mastrine; and Alice Litzinger; sisters-in-law, Cathy (Shawn) Long; Debbie (Ted) Marines; brother-in-law, Shane (Shannon) Yanosky; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Charles is reunited in Heaven with his parents, Charles and Dorothy (Divins) Litzinger; and nephew, Seth Yanosky. Charles was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a man of strong faith, an avid hunter, who loved riding his Harley and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an employee of Norfolk Southern, where he enjoyed working with all his union brothers. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. on Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., 1310 Shoemaker St., Nanty Glo. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Pike Grace Brethren Church, Mundys Corner, Terry Glessner, officiating.
