PORADA -   Edwin Joseph, 81, of Jackson Twp., passed away March 1, 2026 at home. Born May 15, 1944 in Johnstown, son of the late Theodore and Genevieve (Baran) Porada. Preceded in death by sister, Monica Nedrich. Survived by wife, the former Carolyn Gillin, to whom he was married for 55 years; daughter, Michelle (Mick Little) Porada; brothers, Ted (Faye) Porada; and Blaine Porada; and several nieces and nephews. Member of St. John Vianney Church, Mundys Corner and also attended Singer Hill Grace Brethren Church. Member of Knights of Columbus. Air Force veteran during the Vietnam War and member of Nanty Glo American Legion, Nanty Glo L.O.O.M #207 and Nanty Glo Polish Club. Social member of Jackson Twp. Fire Company. Retired crane operator from Bethlehem Steel/Gautier with 45 years of service. Coach for East Taylor- Jackson Baseball for more than 30 years. Ed enjoyed shooting pool, playing bingo, throwing corn hole and bowling.  A gathering of family and friends will be received from 2 p.m. until time of memorial service at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, Pastor Carl Phillips, officiating.
