KASECKY – Thomas J., 90, of Richland, passed away March 6, 2026 at home. Born August 12, 1935 in Nanty Glo, son of the late Andrew and Julia (Kuhar) Kasecky. Preceded in death by wife, Dolores; brothers and wives, Andrew (Pearl) Kasecky; Joseph (Marion) Kasecky; John (Francie) Kasecky; and Francis “Mick” (Barb) Kasecky; sisters and husbands, Mary (Joe) Mackanick; Betty (Andrew) Barbera; Susie (Thomas) Barbera; and Theresa (Charlie) Roe; and brother-in-law, James Leleck. Survived by daughter, Athena “Tina” (Mark) Williams. Grandchildren, Tommy “TJ” Kasecky; Michael Williams; and Erica (Darell Janis) Williams. Great Grandchildren, Quintin Janis; Ava Janis; and Lyric Janis. Also survived by sisters, Catherine Leleck; and Shirley Kasecky; special nephews, Steve Kasecky and James “Skip” Leleck; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nanty Glo. US Army veteran during the Korean War. Member of Twin Rocks VFW and was an active member of the Blacklick Valley Honor Guard. Tom was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was always a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, Deacon Thomas Buige, officiating. Military rite by Blacklick Valley Honor Guard at 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Tom’s memory.
