Margaret L. Hofecker Obituary
HOFECKER - Margaret L. (Holtz) 95. Early in the morning of Friday, February 27, 2026, Marge died peacefully in her sleep at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA. She was born to Albert and Caroline (Dickert) Holtz on June 12, 1930. Preceding her in death was the love of her life, Oliver (Ollie), her husband of 69 years. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Albert and Caroline Holtz; her in-laws, Oliver and Verna Hofecker; three brothers, Albert, Daniel and Glenn; and her brother-and sister-in-law, William and Lois Hofecker.
Marge is survived by two daughters Michele (Craig) Stormer and Denise (Rob) Dysert. Four grandsons; Christopher (An) and Brandon Stormer, Mark (Katie) and Scott (Georgi) Dysert. Two great-granddaughters, Charlotte Stormer and Clare Dysert. Charlotte and Clare share the same birthday, 3 years apart. Their “Gigi” thought this was very special and unique! She was also survived by a sister Trudy Slick and her husband George and three special nieces Cheryl, Sondra and Tina.
Marge retired from the former Johnstown Bank and Trust. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mundy’s Corner, PA, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school and catechism. She and Ollie enjoyed spending winters in Florida for many years.
Friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 13th, at the at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 14th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mundy’s Corner, Vicar Jen Bobolsky-Sherbine, officiating. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
