PA'AHANA - Donald Francis, 90, of Jackson Twp, passed away on Saturday April 4, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  Born November 11, 1935 in the Mala Ramp neighborhood of Lahaina, Maui, son of the late Harry and Delores (Valentino) Pa'ahana.  He is preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey J. Pa'ahana and eight siblings.  Survived by wife, the former Mary (Cabala) Pa'ahana and children: Donald Jr. (Rhonda) Pa'ahana;  Melissa (Donald) Getz; and Brian Pa'ahana and his partner Cheryl.  Also six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren whom he adored and loving sisters: Patsy and Marilyn.  A proud Coast Guard veteran having served for 20 years in Hawaii, Baltimore (Chesapeake Bay) and Michigan.  He attained the rank of E6 BM1 and was the recipient of the Silver Life Saving Medal.  Following his Coast Guard service, he also worked at Calandra's Scrap Metal in Cresson, PA and served in the United States Navy under the Department of Defense.  Don retired in 1992 from ExxonMobile, where he specialized in Petroleum Shipping.  Don was a member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church where friends may gather from 9:30 a.m., Saturday (April 11th) until the time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Fr. Brian Warchola, celebrant.  Interment will be made in Hawaii.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Don's memory may be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital.  A Celebration of Life gathering will be held later this summer.  Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.  Condolences for the family may be left at www.askew-houser.com
