GILLESPIE - Timothy Paul, 75, of Vinco, passed away on April 24, 2026 surrounded by his family. Preceeded in death by his parents, Harold and Marjorie Gillespie. He is survived by his siblings, Diane Bowers (Harry, deceased), Dennis Gillespie (Linda), and Peggy Ochenrider (Don). Tim is also survived by his three daughters, who were the pride of his life: Julie Mazer (Tim), Jaime Parsons (Bryan), and Jackie Gillespie (Dan Sprumont). He took great joy in his grandchildren: Bailey and Mackenzie Parsons, and Avigail and Zachary Mazer. Tim graduated from Central Cambria High School in Ebensburg in 1968 and received a diploma in Electronic Technology from Pittsburgh Electronics Training Center in 1970. Tim served his country in the US Army in Vietnam and remained a proud veteran throughout his life. He worked for over 50 years as an electrician in the wire mill. He was a handyman and jack of all trades, and helped many friends and family members with projects around their homes. Tim was a life-long member of the Vinco Brethren Church and a Life Member of the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Company. He was a member of the Ebensburg VFW, American Legion and Moose Lodges, as well as the Nanty Glo American- Polish Citizens Club. He enjoyed spending time with his large extended family and shared many laughs with his CCHS class of 1968 reunion group, his retired firefighter friends, and enjoyed traveling around the country to attend reunions with his Vietnam buddies. Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo (1310 Shoemaker Street, Nanty Glo, PA)  and from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026  at Vinco Brethren Church, (123 Adams Ave. Mineral Point, PA) Pastor Zachary Yonko, officiating. Committal and military honors to follow at Benshoff Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Vinco Brethren Church or Jackson Township Fire Company in Timothy's memory.
