STANTON - Edward A., 60,  of Johnstown, went to Heaven on May 16, 2026 at home.  Born December 22, 1965, son of the late Herbert and Irene (Kankula) Stanton.  Also preceded in death by brothers Herbert Jr. and John Stanton, and sister Barbara Stanton.  He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Shaffer) Stanton and step-children: Cindy (Mark) Noel and Lee (Davina) Ashcom;  grandchildren:  Vanessa (Justin) Byrne, Breann Rummel, Dalton (Kai Leigh) Ashcom, Philip Ashcom, Zachery (Alyssa) Spisak; and great-grandchildren:  Marissa, Lindsey, Austin, Connor, Aiden, Grace, Eli, Waylon, and Indy.  Also survived by his brother Joseph (Paula) Stanton and sister Suzanne (Chuck) Keilman.  Ed was a driver for Carbon Direct.  Beloved horseshoe player for the Conemaugh PNA League and a member of the Singer Hill Grace Brethren Church.  Ed was hard working and loved and enjoyed his family.

Friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where a Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Pastor Carl Phillips, officiating.  Interment at Benshoff Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed's memory may be made to the Singer Hill Grace Brethren Church or to the charity of your choice.  Condolences to the family may be left at www.askew-houser.com
