GORE - Russell A., 73, of Jackson Township, went home to be with his Jesus March 7, 2007, from Memorial Medical Center. Born July 27, 1933. in Nanty Glo, son of the late Joseph and Mae (Harvey) Gore. Preceded in death by sisters, Beatrice Smith, Gaye Simmons and Joy Phillip, and brother, Daniel Gore. Survived by wife of 54 years, the former Donna Sebulsky; sons, Jeff (Susan) of Jackson Township; Greg (Sharon) of Huntingdon; and twin sons, Ronald of Belleville and Russell of Jackson Township; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Also survived by brother, Ron (Grace) Gore, Florida; sister, Doris (Jake) Behory, Nanty Glo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Life member of Christian & Missionary Alliance Church of Nanty Glo, where he served as elder until his death. A U.S. Army veteran. Member of Chestnut Springs Hunting Club and Jackson Township Hunting Camp, Barnes, Pa. Russell had a deep appreciation for what the Lord had created. He loved fishing and hunting, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Carl A. Schmidt Sr. officiating. Interment, Pike Brethren Cemetery, Mundys Corner. In lieu of flowers, donations in Russell's memory may be made to Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Nanty Glo.
