Obituary of Annemarie Smith

SMITH - Annemarie (Barufe), 77, of Ebensburg, died Wednesday, April 20, 2005 in Charleston, South Carolina. Born March 16, 1928 in Berlin, Germany, beloved daughter of the late Willi R.E. and Frieda (Latowski) Barufe. Preceded in death by her friend and companion Burton M. "Burt" Trautman, Jr., of Clinton, Pa. She leaves behind five loving children and their families: Barbara, and her husband Dr. Thomas Wilkerson, Charleston, West Virginia; Dr. Susan Smith, and her husband Dr. Gregory Miller, of Charleston, South Carolina; Gretchen, and her husband Dr. Gregory Hill, Fort Myers, Florida; William P. Smith Jr., and his wife Dina Smith, Cumberland, Rhode Island; and Heidi, and her husband James Gresh, of Canton Ohio and Beijing, China. Also survived by thirteen adoring grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m., Friday and 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 4:00 p.m., Saturday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, the Rev. Jim Farrer, officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
