FENCHAK – Francena M., (PAUL), 90, of Colver, died peacefully Feb. 19, 2023 at Cambridge Retirement Living. Born June 22, 1932, daughter of the late Irvin and Margaret (Bougher) Paul. She married her loving husband, James Fenchak, Jan. 10, 1950 in Ebensburg and he preceded her in death after 64 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Linda Washko; son in law, David Robinson; brothers in law, Jack Sweeting, John (Mary) Fenchak, Joseph (Esther) Fenchak, Charlie Fenchak, Peter Fenchak and George (Kim) Fenchak; sisters in law, Anne (Peter) Berkoski, Mary Fenchak, Sophie (Jack) Stormer, Irene (John) Popovich and Helen (Michael) Warchola. She was the beloved mother and is survived by daughters, Jeanne (Jess Wess) Robinson and Carole Ostinowsky; sons in law, John (Linda) Washko and Dennis Ostinowsky. She will lovingly be remembered as “Baba” by her grandchildren and bonus grandchildren, Jamie Ostinowsky, Jay (Carly) Wess, Nicole (Phil) Sitter, Kevin (Kim) Wess, Jeremy (Meicah) Robinson, Kelly (Steve) Ostinowsky, Kayla (Adam) Washko, Lee (Chelsea) Wess and Caitlin (Chad) Weaver; as well as great grandchildren and bonus great grandchildren, Mylie, Brennan, Lilah, Peyton, Kensington, Malcolm and Colter. Also survived by sisters, Dorothy Barker, Kathy (Joe) Saladino, Joan (Walt) Jenkins and Joyce Sweeting; brother, Carl (Jan) Paul; sister in law, Barbara Fenchak; and numerous nieces and nephews. Francena enjoyed gardening, crocheting, reading and watching Hallmark movies. She mostly enjoyed spending time talking about and being with her family. She was very proud of her family and loved by many. A special thank you to the staff of Cambridge Retirement Living in Ebensburg for their loving care. Friends will be received from 4 p.m. until time of funeral service at 5 p.m. on Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, Pastor Tim Guyer, officiating.
